HAHAHAHA I died when I found this video! It is so bang-on in describing how I feel toward speedos.
Personally I love Speedos! However I agree with the above video with one additional disclaimer…
The closer you are to North America the more they become undies and not acceptable. The closer you are to Europe, South America, the Caribbean or any other continent for that matter they become speedos aka Togs in New Zealand. (See handy World Tog Map below)
I know this view isn’t shared by everyone but as long as I keep my stomach to a size where I can still see the speedo I will wear a one when given the chance. Reasons being… better for tanning, more comfortable, stand up better to waves in the ocean, less chaffing and less sand where it doesn’t belong. All that being said I love board shorts and in indoor settings like pools or in Canada they are still my first choice.
Anyone know the answers to the “Unsure” sections of the map?

My problem with speedos is personal, I just don’t know where to look. But at least now I will know where I am in tog danger, EYES UP

I agree with you on the ad though, it is actually an ad for ice cream not for budgie smugglers. So though it is funny, did it really do it’s job? 🙂

see the thing is that I think people whom eat a lot of ice cream will probably not be in the tog market, or at least should double thing before donning them
