Showboy Showdown

I had an awesome time last night at the “2 HEARTS” Valentine’s Day DJ showdown at Boots! The music was awesome and I think it was the most I have ever danced there.

It was a showdown between DJ Showboy and WCBD (West Coast Baby Daddy). You may be asking yourself isn’t that DJ SeXXXy Sean in that picture? Yes and no. As of this event Sean has changed his moniker to DJ Showboy. I forgot to ask him why the switch but I would guess it is because it is more in line with his SHOWBOY brand. But he is still Sean and he is still SeXXXy!

Since I most often attend Boots for the Stardust lounge I don’t get to fully hear what DJ Showboy music sounds like and it was my first time meeting WCBD. They both brought it and the music was great. I was also lucky enough to pick-up the special 2 disc CD from the event. Both DJs have unique styles and mix from different sets of music but both are very talented. If you love dance, pop, rock, disco or the overall genre of Techno I suggest you see if there are any remaining copies for sale.

I saw lots of friends and made some new ones last night. I think it was also the first time I can say I polka’d at a bar. To please some of the patrons in attendance they mixed in some diva music and one of those was the techno mix of Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5”.

Warning: Polkaing near a catwalk can be dangerous! Especially after a few drinks!
