Yuck! I cannot believe what I just watched on “The Tudors”. I just finished Episode IX of Season 2 and only have one more episode left. As I normally do I have immersed myself in this show full force. This happens with me in most movies, good books, and most TV shows. I forget sometimes that I am not actually part of them. I have noticed my speech patterns the last few days switching to Old English. I have worried for my “friends” in the show as I go about my daily business. But tonight, tonight was too much, I had to snap out of it.
I was there right in the show, getting so pissed off at the irrational behavior of everyone in the court. Then I was becoming physically ill watching all the false accusations handed down to the men accused of sleeping with the Queen. Two things I cannot stand or offer much patience to in this world are lies and irrational behavior.
So as I write this I am sad for the men decapitated what seems only moments ago. At the same time writing this blog is bringing me back to 2009 where my head and everyone I know are perfectly safe. LOL
It is with mixed feelings that I get ready to watch the last episode of Season 2. On one hand I can stop saying things like beseech, twas, and doth. On the other hand it will be the end of a well acted, well written show that was able to pull me in so close.
Or is it….
According to imdb.com there will be a 3rd Season premiering in 2009. It was confirmed on April 23rd on Showtime’s official site.
The third season will focus on Henry’s 3rd and 4th marriages to Jane Seymour and Anne of Cleves.
Are they going to make Jonathan Rhys Meyers wear a fat suit? He started getting fat while married to Anne of Cleves.

I think it is kind of poetic justice that after all the crap Henry pulled and people he killed including Anne Boelyn (hope I didn’t ruin that for ya 😉 that her daughter became the greatest and most powerful (and most remembered) of the Tudor line of Monarchs.
