Loose Ends to Tight Ends

First some loose ends. I have been reminded on a number of occasions that I missed blogging an aspect of my life or let something important slip by so it is no longer timely. There are any number of reasons I may or may not blog something and here are two good examples that I can now make up for.

I have seen two movies recently with close friends and on both accounts I think the act of seeing the movie and spending the time with the friends was more remarkable than the actual movies. For a blog to work for me it has to fall into that EatingLifeUp category of being moved by it, hating it with a Passion, or Loving it to bits. Here is what happened with these two movies.

Well it is true I felt all sorts of emotions and was pretty fired up after seeing this movie I made a crucial mistake. I decompressed and told two friends (two blog readers) what I felt about the movie. That released the fire I would normally use to write a blog in my typical blog voice. Tonight though I will tell you that I didn’t really enjoy this movie. It had way too much inhumane acts, violence, abuse, and torture for me to enjoy it. While I realize that these activities actually happen in parts of the world and the movie was portraying them I still have a hard time watching them because of the violence I was exposed to at a young age. I also found the cinematography herky jerky and didn’t enjoy the use of focus in the film. I do however manage to give this movie 2 stars because I really enjoyed the ending of the movie. If you are someone that doesn’t get deeply affected by violence and like to watch “indy” films this is definitely a movie for you!

Now to break things up before the next movie review here are some loose ends that never fit into a blog but I feel needs to be expressed to the world.

  • My favorite Jam is Raspberry Jam BECAUSE of the seeds!
  • I like my Peanut Butter crunchy, crunchy, crunchy
  • I don’t mind burnt toast because it absorbs toxins from the body
  • I can eat slurpees with a spoon until my tongue goes numb
  • I love bubble tea with tapioca pearls and no matter how hard I try I can’t understand how others can’t stomach the idea

Marley & Me (2008) Rating: ★★★☆☆

Cute movie, I enjoyed it, however nothing too OMG OMG OMG about it. Loved the scenery in the movie though, some great camera shots and visually good. It reminded me that I can’t wait to have a pool someday. But enough about cute movies and cute dogs… Owen Wilson! Love him and his awesome studly nose! Woof!

Now I know many of you enjoyed the crazy game show moment I shared two posts ago so here is one more gem I found that day while searching for a clip of a bad answer.

In response to yesterday’s post I have now finished the second season of “The Tudors”. I am excited for season three to learn more about this interesting time period beyond Anne Boleyn. Yes, Jimmy I think the way the last episode ended with King Henry gorging into a swan pie as shown in the image below we are entering the fat suit era now.

And finally for the tight ends… I was sad to see this past weekend that the Colts got bumped from the running for the Superbowl. If I have this wrong please correct me but it appears they are gone. So now I have to decide who I am cheering for. As you can see below the team I cheer for should preferably wear white or light colored pants.

Love the bad answer clips, sometimes when watching these shows you just have to shake your head at people.

I also have to agree with you on the colour of pants for the football players, they should all wear white or light colour (the gold for the Esks works too) pants.
