For all of you that watch ABC’s “Bachelor Pad” you would have seen in the last episode Jesse Beck eats a banana and claims he peels it the correct way. Paton thinks he is on glue but he goes on to say “that it is how Monkey’s peel them” and “They are professionals”. He peels them from the bottom like seen in my picture below. So today I rushed out and bought bananas just so I could try it. I must admit, it was WAYYY easier to peel that way, no damage or smushed banana tip, as you can see, and it felt right. Thoughts?
Also the 2 for 1 is I took the picture in front of my Avocado tree to bring you an update. You can see that I successfully pinched the tree at the right spot and it has now split off in two different directions! I am still excited by it’s progress everyday.
But how do you get it started, I am definately going to have to try this next time I get bananas.

You just give it a small pinch. It opens right up with the greatest of ease! No more of the pulling on the top, hoping it bursts open, smooshing the banana in the process etc. I did some searching last night and it does appear that most monkeys open this way as well. I can see why because it is much easier! Definitely a must try!
