First it was Sunday… normally Sunday’s are typically a “Neil Day”. However this day was totally different but just as awesome!
- I woke up early (Still on Cuban time)
- I got a good start on the day, cleaned the house
- With inspiration from a friend I did the dishes and took care of my finances and budget (Outlook good)
- Then my nephew came over for our first “Uncle & Nephew Only” time
- I was taking him to the circus, but the highlight of his day was his first LRT (Metro) ride. He is a HUGE fan of trains
- I felt so good hanging out with him, and got lots of cute looks, flirts, and smiles. I was wearing his red “CARS” backpack and I had him on a leash with a puppy dog on his back (He works better than a dog for picking up)
- He slept all the way home and then when his parents picked him up I had a big nap (Compensation for Day Light Savings)
- THEN VOLLEYBALL! We won our first game! I was so pumped, that even after 1.5 hours of vball I had energy to go grocery shopping at 10:30 pm
- Now I am home, listening to great ambient music from Germany (Thanks Konstantin!)
So much to be grateful for and make me smile! Thanks SUNDAY! Here’s to a good week!
Updated: Just made a Light Cheese, Tomato, Sauce and Whole wheat pita pizza that is to die for! This day rocks!
Sounds like a great Sunday. I too had a good day – got to sleep in, cleaned the whole house (except the dishes – oops), got all my laundry done and relaxed for some “me” time and gave myself a mani / pedi while watching a movie. Capped it off with a great dinner with my husband when he got home…. I love Sundays 🙂
