Mexican Food & French Toast

I have great news! I was very nervous about following my calorie counts in Vegas so I tried my best while I was down there. The biggest problem is that my diet plan involves keeping my iPod on me. Well when you are drinking up a storm it is best to leave your iPod in the hotel room. I found that out when I lost my last iPod.

Many of you have commented on my French Toast and Mexican food mention in my first Vegas post. That was key to maintaining some control on my diet. The first night I was there we opted for healthy Mexican food at “Gonzalez y Gonzalez” at New York New York. Mexican is always a good option for a vegetarian. The food was out of this world and so was the service. They also bring fresh chips and salsa to your table immediately upon seating. That became a favorite for us and we returned again the next night, asking for our server again “Raymond”.

Then later that first night I was DRUNK, DRUNK, DRUNK and was stumbling back to my hotel as I passed an IHOP! Really that place should be named the IHOFT! International House of French Toast! I was the only patron in the place at 4:30 am so needless to say the service was great and so was the food. I had it again in the morning and every chance after.

Moral of the story, by sticking to those two staples, and a steady supply of alcohol I managed to still lose weight over the weekend and if you check out the Fitness & Nutrition page of EatingLifeUp you will see that I am still on track with my goals!

Ah… okay so I see now the link to why French toast was such a staple over the weekend.
Although I had to giggle at how you managed to describe your intake (french toast, Mexican food and copious amounts of alcohol) and cast it in the light of using this regime to lose weight. You should write a diet book and base it on this premise. Any ideas for a title?? Hhhmm. The IHOP Burrito and Booze Trio?

Well I mostly drank Tequila believe it or not so that was pretty Mexican too. Maybe I can call it the “Frenching the Mexican” or “Toast ‘n Tequila”.

I vote for “Toast & Tequila” then.. catchier title so your more likely to get people to jump on board and buy your book.

Wait.. do I get a percentage of the rights for suggesting this. lol.
