Pool Change Room v.s. Concert

Pool Change Room v.s. Concert

You are Naked You should not be naked
Often bright Often dark
You are wet You are dry (Unless it’s a rave or the artist makes you moist)
Just guys or girls Co-ed
Blow dryers & showers There are buyers of Blow at show
Your flip flops clap Your hands clap
You just went swimming You just ate supper
People don’t pay to hear you sing People pay to hear an artist sing

Now with all of those differences you would think people could keep them straight but tonight at the pool everyone didn’t seem to have that ability. Let’s look at the two most annoying examples:

  1. One guys is whistling a god awful tune. Another guy actually says “ooooh I like that one”. To which I roll my eyes and the other guy says “Ya I can’t remember the name of that symphony but I learned it when I was a child on the farm listening to CBC. To which I vomit and the other guy says “Ohhh ya I loved the CBC it was the only station we got on the farm on the weekend”. To which I ask myself…”They had other channels during the week or the radio only came through on the weekend?” Then I remember I don’t care.
  2. Elderly Chinese man in the shower is moaning just under his breath but loud enough for me to hear from the sauna Tony Braxton’s “Unbreak my heart“. I am sure somewhere in his head he is being cheered on at a Karaoke bar. But in the shower he sounds like a half dead cat.

LOL – k this made me laugh. Maybe the two in the shower from the farm with CBC were made for each other.

I also laughed when I read this. I can just imagine how irked you were to hear other people raving about CBC (which you hate). For the record, I like CBC – both radio and TV. LOL

I know what you mean about people who sing, hum or whistle in public. Obviously they must think they’re good or they wouldn’t do it but usually they aren’t so it’s annoying.

  • Well it isn’t that I hate the CBC…. I just generally dislike all the content, the re-used actors (Graham Greene, Paul Gross, Tom Jackson), the specials (Rita McNeil, Ann Murray), the productions and their logo. I do make exceptions of course. I love that they broadcast Coronation Street for us (though that is British disguised on a Canadian Network). I also find they do a pretty good job at Olympic coverage (so they get it right at least every 2 years). Oh and when I was young and exploring my sexuality I appreciated that they played naughty shows late night on French CBC (however that isn’t CBC, it is SRC). Oh and I don’t mind how much Roy Dupuis is re-used but again more French than English.

I am known for walking into a room, seeing a TV, and saying “Hmmmm that smells like CBC” and I am usually right.

I have more material where that came from, appears I should have made this a blog post rather than a comment LOL
