Party Plateau

While I am still pleased that I am making progress with weight-loss I have hit what I call the “Party Plateau”. I have been on a steady decline since using the Lose It! app. I am down 31 lbs right now. These last three weeks have been very out of the ordinary and have been a great test I guess you might say to make sure this diet is sustainable. With my weeks in Montreal, indulging, and now returning home, playing catch-up and having a bit of a cold with intense party schedules my calories have been pushed to the limit. My lose it program is still causing me to think about everything I put in my mouth but the things entering, while within my limits, are not great choices.

So as I sit down 31 lbs holding firm at 205 lbs I can see light on the horizon. My food is slowly regaining some normal intakes. I plan to go grocery shopping after this weekend in Calgary.

Speaking of intakes I would like to give big shout out to my staples…

Subway & Starbucks

Since January 12th I have logged 41 Subway 6″ veggie subs, 35 Starbucks Mocha Americanos, 28 Starbucks Toffee Nut Lattes, and 14 Starbucks Cinnamon Dolce Lattes. Those numbers are just random examples of food I pulled from the report and are by no means exhaustive. LOL Oh and apparently I have had 38 pita shells!

  • My blog prayers have been answered. After posting this post last night I weighed in on the scales at work (the ones I have used for this entire journey) and I am down 3 lbs! Now sitting at 202 lbs. More work to come, almost time to tone!

    High five you Neil!!
Finding a way to fit these lifestyle changes into your everyday life is always the biggest part of the challenge (and like you’ve learned you have to flex with things some days as it comes at you). You’ve been doing such a good job and it shows.
