From barely 5 to 72?

Today was an awesome, awesome day! It all started with the morning weigh in. I am officially still on track with my fitness & nutrition plan and am down 10 lbs after 5 weeks on the program! I was beaming all day.

Then it was time for week 3 of the Push-up Challenge! Kent warned me that week three was considerably more challenging but I had no idea what was in store. Again with the cursing Kent as I pushed my way through 72 push-ups! Count them! 72 freaking push-ups! So I am beginning to see now how if I can do 72 at the start of week 3 with breaks… it might actually be true that I could do 100 consecutively after week 6. Right now that thought though makes me wanna pass out.

Then it was off to the pool. Well let me tell you, I was putting on quite the show! 10 lbs seems to be the magic number for my swim trunks. I had them cinched as tight as they could go but they were constantly hanging dangerously low. I am going to need a smaller pair real quick! Funny because they were OK just last Thursday.

    Good for you Neil, I am going to have to take a couple pages out of your book, I have been stuck at the same number for weeks which doesn’t make sense ’cause my clothes are starting to hang in places. I know I always lose inches first and I am building muscle thanks to my cousin but it is starting to frustrate me. On another note I don’t know if I can get out of my chair now that I sat down this morning, way too many lunges on Sunday…I might need you to run over here and give me a push.

    LOL you sound like me this morning on the bus, it turned and I could barely keep holding onto the overhead bar. I almost squashed a lady!

    Way to go Neil!!! Yah you!!
    I’m almost half thinking I should give this a try?!? My little chicken arms won’t know what hit them. lol. I am getting better at doing push ups though since I started kick boxing cause we do them along with a lot of upper body and core training… hhmm maybe I can make a run at it….

    I will ask Kent if he thinks I can share the easy excel spreadsheet he put together for the program. If so I will post it for you if you want to give it a go. Otherwise I will just e-mail it to you and anyone else that approaches me for it.
