This month has been crazy busy and I am so behind and have blog ideas piling up. Since I haven’t posted anything for a bit in regards to the series on internet dating I thought I would categorize this post as an off shoot of that series.
How soon is too soon? Or do you think there is such a thing? As a person with commitment issues I LOVE YOU can be very scary for me. When I am ready it is an easy thing to say, and when I say it I mean it. However those three words can send me running to the hills if I am not ready and someone says them to me.
I have had the I LOVE YOU tossed my way on the 5th date before and that felt too soon! Recently I had it said to me after the 1st date! I almost fell over! However I didn’t run this time. I have corrected the course, explained my feelings (I hope) and am giving it a second chance to see what happens next.
What do you think? When can you say it? Do you have to wait? Is there too soon? Is it a set time or can it be said as soon as you feel you know the person?
I don’t think that there is a specific rule to when “I love you” should be said, although the first date…Wooooo slow down! 🙂 I think when its right then say it…. do what you think is right. 🙂
