Free Sex in the City

Sex and the City 2010
Rating: ★★★★☆
Sex and the City

Bev and I saw the new Sex and the City movie on Sunday and I loved it! To all the fans out there worried about the not so hot reviews don’t let them stop you. If you are a fan of the series and the last movie this movie will be the right length, believable, enjoyable and worth seeing. Even worth paying full price for!

However Bev and I had a “Bank error in your favor” moment. Due to a mess up with the coupons we were trying to use they eventually gave up and the manager told the cashier over the radio to just let us in. I think he was supposed to charge us the lower rate and let us in, but instead he gave us back our coupons, took no cash, and we were off to the movies with a stunned look on our faces. I invested the savings back into Nachos and a Pop so they still made a little money from me. Plus I think I am going to see it again on Wednesday night.

I also really liked this movie. I had read several reviews and none were positive. I agree – go see it anyway.

In regards to the way things unfolded, I have to say, these things only happen when I am out with you. I still can’t believe that we got in for free. LOL

  • I on the other hand did not like it. I found it offensive and punny not funny.

I am with Becca I thought it was too long, it didn’t do anything for the story and I found I didn’t care anymore and most of the time I found myself rolling my eyes at some bad writing. After watching #1 again (it was on in our hotel in Chicago the next night) I was even more disappointed in the second one.

Hehehe just poking fun, and I always value yours and Becca’s comments on the blog. I was very surprised by your comments. I am especially intrigued that Becca used the word offensive!

I was suprised by my reaction too, it is not like I was expecting that much either. The show is just a fun guilty pleasure but I just came away not happy with the story, maybe I just need to see it again.

  • Maybe part of the reason I liked it is many little parts of the story line happened to align with personal issues in my life so that helped me to connect more and forgive any weaknesses.

Thanks for the positive review Neil! I was nervous, (although still going to see it with open heart and open arms!) that it was getting SO much bad rep. I mean, really… How can Sex and the City be bad?! There is NO way! <3
