WOW I just got back from seeing the movie…

He’s Just Not That Into You (2009)
Rating:

Such a great movie! The crowd in attendance was laughing out loud the entire movie, as was I. It was full of crazy insight into Male / Female behavior. You knew it was true because if it wasn’t, it wouldn’t be so funny! The title of this post stems from the movie painting (in my eyes) only a slightly exaggerated view of the female condition. It isn’t fair that I use that wide sweeping brush but these are my thoughts so paint roller it is! LOL As you near the end of the movie they start to paint a pretty good picture of the male condition as well so I won’t push the envelope too far. 😉
I think that everyone should be required to watch this movie because you will see little bits of all your friends in the characters and after some honest soak time you will see some of yourself as well. Now if only we could take some of it to heart.
If I had to quickly choose who I saw some of myself in, I would say it was Scarlet Johansson’s character. This is for various personal reasons that I choose her and not just because she plays opposite the adorable hunk Bradley Cooper!

The more I thought about it the more I could put someone I know into each one of those roles. I thought it was super funny and different from the traditional chick flick where boy gets girl and everyone lives happily ever after.

Bradley Cooper looks like an axe murderer. Like Renee Zelwigger he always looks about 15% crazy. I can’t wait to see this movie though.

I also loved this movie. It’s very different from the book, which was a very popular non-fiction self-help book.
The movie was not what I expected but I loved what they did with it and what a stellar cast. I am not at all surprized that it is such a big hit at the box office. This is definitely a movie everyone should see.
