Where are they now?

Today I had an awesome surprise! Jens (Germany) who I met in Lima Peru found his way back to Backpacker’s Family House in Lima, Peru and commented on my blog. When I got home and noticed his comment that Pedro (Peru) and him were reading my blog and the time of their comment was only 20 mins earlier. This gave me the awesome idea that they were both more than likely in the hostel at that very moment.

So I picked up the phone and phoned Peru. Pedro answered the phone, it was awesome to hear his voice, then he passed me over to Jens. We chatted about the past few weeks and got caught up on everything new in the lives of our group of Random friends from the hostel.

I bring you now a special episode and photo of “WHERE ARE THEY NOW? (PERU EDITION)”

Where Are They Now (Peru Edition)
Left to Right, Top to Bottom:
Lori (Chicago, USA), Daniel (Netherlands), Marianne (England)
Dan (England), Rob (Anchorage, USA), Pedro (Peru)
Jens (Germany)

Lori was last seen sadly without her backpack and laptop, but after recharging in Lima and a few Pisco Sours with Pedro, she is back on the road.

Daniel was in Ecuador but looking at air pollution forecasts, him and his fragrant hiking boots (which I heard Jens put coffee beans in) are en route to Columbia.

Marianne is back in England and last I heard she was looking for a job. Anyone in England want to hire a fabulous girl drop me a line and I can hook you up.

Dan was spotted sporting half a wet suit with surf board under arm in Northern Peru.

Rob was looking forward to eating Guinea Pig for American Thanksgiving instead of Turkey but a follow-up report says it tasted like chewy a*s (not good).

Pedro sounds good and is working out of the brand new Backpacker’s Family House hostel. Apparently it is up and running now since I got a sneak peek and Jens says it rocks!

Jens as you know is back in Lima for today only and prior to Lima was “hanging out” in Machu Picchu (see photo above). Tomorrow he is also heading to Northern Peru.

As for the whole gang, some plan to be back in Lima together Dec 11th or 12th. I hope to phone them on one of those days. Others plan to be back in Lima for New Years. Since Jens reports that each day is in the mid 20s there and getting nicer and here in Edmonton it is snowing, -5 and I am slipping on the ice like a giraffe on roller skates I might just hop on a plane and go join them LOL

My shoes and I made it to Colombia, Cali, and everybody is loving them here as well! The coffeebeans are better over here, and do the job well ;).

Lima was fun indeed, and good fun you had contact with Jens and Pedro. You know we ended up drinking in his (parents) house at 4AM in the morning!?

Take care and have fun, I´ll follow your blog!
