Well I joined the the world phenomenon and upgraded my cell phone from the standard flip phone that I enjoyed and bought a new touch screen phone.

I chose the LG Dare from TELUS. So far I love it very much! The menus are great, the touch screen works well (but froze up with the plastic case so I returned it), my large fingers seem to manage OK but I prefer using the stylus that comes with it for my navigation because it has better accuracy and I can hand write my text messages. So if you are in the market for a new cell phone I definitely recommend the LG Dare!

The second product I wanted to review was CLR (“C”alcium “L”ime & “R”ust Stain remover). You have all seen the infomercials on TV and the time lapse demos of this product magically removing hard crusted on stains, de-clogging shower heads, and cleaning coffee pots with a quick swish. I was always one part skeptical of this product and one part no need for this product so I have never purchased it.

Well the other day I was talking with my friend and blog reader Bev. She told me that she was going to try CLR on her shower head that was clogged with minerals and maybe try it on her sink. Well the next day I received a GLOWING report from her that the product totally worked! She could visibly see the calcium that came out of her shower head and it has much more water flow now. She was amazed at how shiny her faucet became when she used it there, and she also used it on her sink. She was so pleased with it I think she was just as upset as I was to hear that she didn’t have a coffee pot to try it on to make it a hat-trick.

So I hope you have enjoyed this product review. Maybe you have your own CLR stories to share or maybe you will venture out and enjoy a clog free shower head. (Note: Bev did mention that it needs a few minutes of soak time, it isn’t a matter of holding a bowl up to the shower head like the commercial. She also noticed half way through using it that it was corrosive so she recommends using gloves 🙂 )
