So I am going to pick up where I left off in my diary on the plane.
Still en route to Peru: I tried really hard to stay the night in the Miami Aeroport but it wasn´t going to work. I was scared of agrivating my back. So I hailed a cab and was wisked off to the Parkway Inn. It sounded and looked by the pictures to be the right amount of sleaze to be inexpensive and the right amount of sleaze to still be safe and secure so I didn´t end up on CSI Miami. (I hate H)
Crazy ugly motel but was perfect for what I needed and only $10-$15 USD from the aeroport. I checked in at about 12:50 am and had a wake-up call for 4:15. Good quick sleep with an air conditioner blowing right on me and a really loud squealing shower and I was back off to the airport by taxi again.
Checked into COPA airlines and started my last two legs of the trip. Apparently I was more tired than I thought. They all had a great deal of problems waking me up when it was time to serve my vegetarian meal. I asked the lady next to me if I was sleeping and she told me COMPLETLY!
But I feel rested now and that little episode made me two friends from Columbia. He is a Banana and Cow farmer and I am not sure what he does. I learned a lot about Panama from them as we landed and learnt a bit about Columbia too. Most of our conversation was in Spanish unless either of us wanted to learn a new word in the opposite language.
Panama looks amazing and it really has grown recently according to them. They are even starting on a second Canal. I think I would enjoy visiting here someday. I would have done so on this trip had a layover for a day or two not increased my ticket by $700.
So I arrived in Lima safe and sound after a short stop in Panama City. No problems with customs or immigration. Yet another stamp in my pasport! 🙂 The guy standing at the gates with my name on a board to pick me up was all I had hoped it would be and more! LOL it was very fun. As he drove me to my Hostel he explained all about Lima, Peru, national dishes I should try, the neighborhoods that we were driving through, which were safe and which were not. Very nice man and I think I will be driving with him more this trip.
The ¨Backpacker´s family hostel¨ is feeling very cozy and the staff here so far are awesome. Just to be safe I booked my last two nights here as well.
So that brings us up to right now. I had a shower, Ooooooooo and guess what? My travels have brought me back into Bidet country again LOL Nothing like a refreshing squirt to make you feel clean or close to clean LOL
Ewwwww what a way to end this blog. Oh well. I am off to rest and then maybe venture around a little bit.
*HUGS* and Lima me a message! Neil
LMOL… too funny. I am so jealous right now!

LOL… I hate H too (CSI) so its a good thing you didn’t become an inspiration for an episode. It would have added insult to injury.
Can’t wait to hear more about your travel adventures…. great way to check in with you. I love reading your travel blogs 🙂
Hugs from Edmonton!

You are here with me in spirit. I have told a few people about Camille that tried to come with me. It is funny when I introduce them to you they look at me funny and say ¨¿Que, Que?¨ *grin*
