7:18? WTF

I think I have talked before how I wake up each morning at 7:01 and move throughout my house on auto-pilot. Today however I still woke up at 7:01 but moved on auto-pilNOT!

I realized that it was -28 degrees outside so I needed to make some clothing adjustments. Threw off my entire game! I was all over the place, doing nothing in order and somehow left my house at 7:18 instead of 7:24. I couldn’t figure out how with more stuff to do I was running 6 mins early. Well this is how…

Problem: While standing at the bus stop I realized that I left my laptop, cell phone, and wallet sitting on the table at home.
Solution: Run like hell back home and back to the bus stop, just in time to catch the bus and work up a sweat.

Problem: Sweating from the run I realized I forgot deodorant.
Solution: Back-up deodorant in my desk at work for such emergencies as this.

Problem: Missed brushing my teeth in the morning.
Solution: Joanne had an emergency toothbrush/paste combo in her office she lent to me.

All in all it worked out but I still should have stayed home and worked from there I think.

PS Faux-Hawks don’t work with hoods or toques so I also didn’t do my hair so that also shaved time of my morning routine.

Well at least I’m not the only one that has mornings like this.
I sometimes wonder how I can still get out of the house on time when there are days that I hit snooze too long and sleep in… guess like you there are steps in my routine that maybe got missed out on that day. Eep. lol.

I have wondered the same thing. I think with more time your body just slacks off a bit. When you are running late you know you have no time to lose…doesn’t always work but every once and awhile I get in the car and look at the time and wonder how did that happen?
