Farmer’s Market

Saturday afternoon was awesome! Becca, Michelle, Jackie and I went to the Strathcona Farmer’s market. I really wanted it to feel like a cozy activity so I decided to accessorize for the event. I wore mostly brown and earth tones, cord pants, a big over-sized sweater and a scarf. I eco-responsibly brought my own bags, but not the black ones that would have clashed with my brown outfit. I parked a little bit away from the market so I could have a short “Whyte Ave” stroll. I stopped to get educated on the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China and subsequently signed a petition. Then continued on to the market. Inside the market I definitely felt warmth and enjoyed hanging with friends buying things like Perogies, Nalysnyky, Saskatoon Raspberry Rhubarb jam, whole wheat bagels, cinnamon raisin bagels, and Banana Pepper Pesto. I can’t wait to do some fun cooking with that SPICY pesto this week.

Of course I was checking out all the guys in attendance. A few familiar faces in the crowds and some hotties (mostly young dads though). I think the farmer’s market would be the perfect place for a first date. I would love to meet a guy for coffee, then do the stroll in the market. If it went well then lunch would be an option. As long as it was cold enough that my perogies wouldn’t thaw in the car!

It was a very nice way to spend the late morning and I got some very yummy finds to add some zing to my dinners this week. It was also very nice to hang out with you (and make sure you were still alive). Thanks for the blog update, the sand lady was cool but I missed the updates (and laughs you usually provide).

Ya an update! lol… just joking 🙂
Like I said yesterday not meant as a pressure. I’m just sad and bored sometimes and love your blog as a distraction from the stresses of the day. And I was with Michelle.. the sand lady was cool but not enough to carry me for a week 🙂
I’m just sad now that I didn’t come with you guys that morning to the market. I always love it but just couldn’t justify it after I had just stocked up at the grocery store…..
