Angels & Demons (2009)
Rating: ★★★★★★★★★½

Angels & Demons

I normally rate movies out of 5 stars but I enjoyed Angels & Demons so much tonight I have to use 10 so I can give 95% rating!

The movie was just as good as I had hoped it would be! Lots of great storyline, good action, good acting. It wasn’t by any means a duplicate of The Da Vinci Code which movies like this can sometimes be. In fact there were even story telling differences. In the Da Vinci Code there was lots of foreshadowing and clues and you found yourself looking for things. In Angels & Demons you are more along for the ride and enjoy it as it unfolds. Being a big fan of religious mysteries I loved the ending in this movie because it wasn’t the same as all the other religious mysteries that I own, or watched.

If you liked The Da Vinci Code you will love this movie. If you liked The Ninth Gate you will love this movie. If you like action you will like this movie. If you are squeamish there are only a couple little things that might bother you but I think you will be able to get past it.

  • Something about Tom Hanks in the last 3 years rubs me the wrong way. Maybe I’ll get to this movie later, but only because you say it’s so good :)

Thanks for the review Neil. I haven’t seen the first one or read the book, I just couldn’t get interested. I borrowed it from my brother so I could watch it before this one but I haven’t done that either (too many amazing season finale’s to watch). I will get on watching it so I can go see this one.
